Rescued by Love

That 1st hug after years of yearning
And all the love i had been craving
Melted my frozen n ice cold heart
Nothing, in all these years could grow us apart

Loads of (lifeless) life to share with you
And unlimited apologies that have been due
For all the times i did hurt you
And, bout which, i had no clue
How could i do this to my princess
Even today the guilt can not be less

The night just engulfed it all within
And i shattered completely with all that i had been holding in
My bits and pieces u picked up like before
And built me back when even i wasnt sure.
The darkness started fading into the light
& the sun could never shine this bright

Next 2 days flew in and out in a blow
I wish it could have been slow
Every moment is a wonderful memory
Once again, Making my life above ordinary

The moment arrived which i dreaded
& My heart completely sank and shreded
With a heavy heart n swollen eyes
And hiding away all the cries
I hugged u tight N bid u goodbye
In that very moment, a part of me did die
But with all that love n courage in me you imparted
I picked up myself and finally departed
Leaving behind my very tender heart
With you beside, i gave my life a new start.
